You should be
safe here.
Seen. Heard. Enjoyed.

Who this is for

You've been at this a long time.

Maybe you know your way around the Bible. You've prayed, served, believed, led — maybe for decades. And somewhere in the middle of all that faithfulness, something stopped working. The answers feel hollow. The map doesn't match the territory. You're not sure who you are in relation to God anymore, and you're not sure you can say that out loud to anyone who would actually understand.

Or something broke. Hard and fast. And you're still standing in the middle of it.

Or you're in ministry, and the loneliness of that role has become something you carry alone, because there is no one in your congregation you can afford to be that honest with.

Whatever brought you here — you need someone who won't panic alongside you, won't rush you back to safety, and won't hand you answers you've already tried.

That's what this is.

What this is

This is spiritual direction. One conversation a week, unhurried, for as long as it's useful.

It is not therapy. It is not coaching. It is not another course or church program meant for "anyone and everyone." It is the ancient practice of one person sitting with another — carefully, over time — helping them hear their own life and find their own way forward in relationship with God.

The work is Christian at its core. Christo-centric, Trinitarian, rooted in Scripture. But it belongs to no denomination. Your tradition is honored here. Your doubts are welcome here. Your theology — whatever you actually believe (not what you think you're supposed to) — is the material we work with.

You get to own it. That's the point.

How it works

Sessions are weekly for the first 4 weeks, ninety minutes, in person or by video. The minimum commitment is twelve sessions — three months. At the end of twelve sessions, you decide whether to continue.

That threshold matters. This work requires time to develop.

Sessions 1–4 Intake — you tell your story, and I listen carefully.
Sessions 5–8 What brought you here, and what it reveals about what you actually believe.
Session 9 onward The work is yours to lead. I companion from there.

After twelve sessions, most people stay. Some conclude. Both are the right answer for different people at different times.

About Will

Will Spicer, spiritual director based in Northwest Arkansas

I have a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Spiritual Direction. I was formed in the evangelical tradition, trained in creedal orthodoxy, shaped by spiritual formation disciplines, and have practiced contemplative prayer long enough to know the difference between the presence of God and the feeling of it.

I've been through enough of my own material to sit with yours without flinching. I am not going to spiritually bypass what you're carrying, offer you easy comfort, or pretend the dark places aren't dark. I am also not going to leave you there.

I work with adults — typically twenty-five and older. I work with people across the broad Christian tradition: post-evangelical, liturgical, Reformed, charismatic, and everywhere in between. I work with pastors who need a conversation with no institutional agenda.

I work in person and remotely. I serve the communities of Northwest Arkansas and, by video, the broader English-speaking world.
